Happy Canada Day!

Happy Canada Day!
How can it be that June is over? We haven't had one bit of summer weather yet! Today is rainy and about 20 degrees - not exactly what we hope for at the beginning of July!
But more importantly, I haven't finished my June UFO yet! And the month is already over and done.
I did make some progress. I added triangles into the bottom of the braids, which was easier said than done. The top and bottom are now figured out. Next I just need to add borders to the sides and trim the braids.
And then quilt it, of course.
But it feels like the hardest part of this UFO is behind me, and now I'm looking forward to finishing this in July.
July is a longer month, so there will be no excuses, right!?!?

Glad the hard part is past and you don't have to think about it anymore!

Happy Canada Day! Looks like you are on the downhill slope on that UFO! I see a finish in July for sure.

A Happy Canada Day to you! Four years ago I was in Canada enjoying the Canada Day fireworks, and I learned that Canada Day is not a day to visit national parks there. Waterton and Banff were certainly hopping!
I wish I could send you some of our heat and you could send us some of your rain!

Hope you had a lovely Canada Day even with the bad weather - we were cold and wet, too. Take your time with the braid quilt - it will all come together.

I hope Canada Day was great for you! It looks like you are pretty close to the finish line on the quilt--very nice!

YES, July has an extra day and I heard we gained an extra Leap Second this week. Glad you figured out the bottom. 104 degrees predicted for our 8th day of over 100 degree temps record today.
